AI Training Data Marketplace

Marketplaces sell what already exists. We source what you actually need. Here is when each model makes sense.

How a marketplace model works

A data marketplace lists datasets that producers have already built, and sells access to them. The buyer browses, filters by language or category, and licenses what fits.

This is genuinely efficient when your requirement happens to match something on the shelf. You can see the specification before buying, the price is visible, and delivery is often immediate.

The limitation is that the shelf is fixed. If you need 200 hours of Sinhala conversational speech from speakers in a specific age range, the marketplace can only answer yes or no — it cannot go and produce it.

How sourcing to order works

The alternative is to specify what you need and have someone produce it. Nothing exists at the start, which feels slower and riskier, but the output matches your requirement exactly instead of approximately.

It also solves a problem marketplaces structurally cannot: exclusivity. A dataset on a marketplace is available to your competitors too. A dataset produced for you is not.

Which model fits which situation

The honest answer is that most serious AI teams need both, at different stages.

  • Early experimentation — marketplace. You are testing whether an approach works and need data today, not in six weeks. Quality is adequate and speed matters more.
  • Filling a known gap — marketplace, if something close enough exists. Check the speaker count and annotation guideline before assuming it does.
  • Production training on a differentiated capability — sourced. If the data is part of what makes your model better than a competitor's, buying the same data everyone else can buy does not get you there.
  • Rare languages or unusual conditions — sourced. Marketplaces carry what sells broadly; a 40-hour Basque project will not be on a shelf.

What we are, precisely

We are not a marketplace. There is no catalog to browse and no instant checkout, because we do not hold inventory — every project is quoted and produced against a specification.

What we can offer that a marketplace cannot is coverage of requirements nobody has built for yet. That includes most of the 120 languages documented on this site, and essentially all of the unusual recording and annotation combinations.

Questions we get asked

Is sourced data more expensive than marketplace data?

Usually yes, per hour, because you are paying for production rather than for access to something already built. The comparison that matters is cost per useful hour — marketplace data that is 70% close to your spec can end up costing more once you account for the gap.

Can I get exclusivity on a marketplace dataset?

Sometimes, for a premium, if the producer offers it. It is worth asking, but many marketplace listings are non-exclusive by design.

Do you offer any ready-made datasets?

No. Everything we deliver is produced against a specific order. If you want to see what a delivery looks like before committing, ask for a pilot batch.

Submit a sourcing request

Tell us the language, the hours, and what the data needs to look like. You will get a real number and a real timeline — not a range. If we cannot source it well, we will tell you that instead.

  • Pilot batch before the full run, so problems surface early.
  • Consent documentation delivered with the data.
  • No medical or clinical data. No recorded telephone calls.

We reply within two business days. Your details are used only to answer this request. See our privacy policy.
